Lipotoxicity in adipose tissue macrophage as link between obesity and its complications
Hosted by Ana Blas García
Guillaume Bidault obtained his PhD from Sorbonne University in Paris in 2013, working on the molecular mechanisms leading to lipodystrophic and premature aging syndrome due to mutations in the LMNA gene. He then moved to the University of Cambridge in late 2013 in the laboratory of Antonio Vidal-Puig where he investigates the role of lipid metabolism and lipotoxicity in macrophages as a link between obesity and its cardiometabolic complications, such as fatty liver diseases, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases.
